A very vibrant city with a rich history.
A very vibrant city with a rich history. The Old City is such a piece of art. The traffic is a bit pain and to get around to near by areas its recommended to walk rather than hailing a cab. To feel and absorb the real beauty of the city can only be done on the long walks this city deserves. The overall city is extremely safe. The food has a lot of variety but its definitely not among the best in the world.

Basically they need to learn how to treat tourist, stop their stupid scaming which ruins the whole experience of Baku.
Its beautiful but a small city, had been enough with just 4 days. The cultural food is not a big deal so dont visit because of the food! Be careful with the hotels showing you updated pictures that does not match with reality! specially breakfast items.

4 nights in Baku seemed just right.
4 nights in Baku seemed just right. The city has lots of surprises. Once I got there, I understood why the city has been described as the "lovechild of Paris and Dubai." It is full off amazing contrasts. It is an elegant city in parts, and quite futuristic in others. Some of the modern architecture is extrordinary. Prices are low and food is awesome. I'm really glad that I chose to call in on Baku.

First of all the weather was soo lovely on April with temperature of 20 in the morning and 16 in the evening.
Baku is a lively city.. Nizami Street is full of energy from morning till next day morning.. There are many places to visit such as malls, gardens, museums.. From my point of view spending 2 to 3 days in baku are enough..
There are many restaurants such as Indian, Korean, japanies, Italian and many other along with the traditional food of Azerbaijan. Visiting the other cities such as Guba, Qabala, Shiki, Shahdag.. Spending one day in each city is enough.
The transportation in Baku is very easy.. With an application called ( Bolt) you can go every where with very low cost.
The visa card is accepted every where.. It's more safe than caring cash.
I advised the travelers to choose a hotel near Nizami street because it's very close to all the needed spots.

Upon my recent visit to Baku, I was utterly captivated by its beauty, which far exceeded my expectations. The city presents a unique blend of ancient architecture and modern developments that coexist harmoniously along the Caspian Sea's shores. From the medieval walled city of Icheri Sheher with its historical landmarks such as the Maiden Tower and Palace of the Shirvanshahs to the contemporary Flame Towers that adorn the skyline, Baku's aesthetic appeal is undeniable. The meticulously maintained parks and the long promenade offer locals and tourists alike an opportunity to bask in the city's natural charm, which is further enhanced by its vibrant cultural scene. Every turn within this dynamic urban landscape revealed unexpected delights, leaving me with an enduring impression of Baku as not just a bustling metropolis but also a hub of cultural wealth and stunning vistas.
I really liked this hotel. The hotel is located in the city center and is decorated in a classic style. I booked an economy room for two for $20 in the city center, which was great, but they immediately upgraded me to a standard room, they also have a balcony room and a deluxe room.
The hotel is located in the city center and everything is very close to the old city, the embankment, the central street of Baku. 5 minutes walk to the old city, to the Sahil metro station and to the park near the sea
I have stayed in the DJ Old City Hotel 3 times. Two times during the summer, in June and the third time in September. The hotel is a great deal, the price corresponds to the facility. The most important is the stuff and the manager - are amazing people. They are very helpful, polite and make your stay as at home. If you need a good, cosy and moderately quiet place to stay in Baku, I highly recommend you to choose DJ Old City hotel.
It's an incredible place to stay, As a solo traveller i definitely recommend this place. Especially staff are really helpful in all ways. The main benefit of this property is it's located in city centre where you can cover Nizami street, Old Baku, Highland park, Bolvard park. It's completely travel sustainable,💞✌️
Lastly a heartful thanks for Manager MR. Fuad for giving tips to travel (according to my budget ✌️)
Old City Royal Historical Hotel welcomes you with clean and comfortable rooms, Located at the heart of Baku’s historical city in historical building with views of Old City’hammam and old walls ,offers a unique experience to the guests. It is in the center of the Old City, within walking distance of most of the major sites such as Maiden Tower , Boulevard, Shirvashah Palace and more more main places
Really Advice!
Very nice new hotel on central location, with all facilities and comfortable stay. Room is really big enough with bakcony and amazing view to the central park. Tv is smart with internet connection. Wifi is very fast, was working without any problems. breakfast is also nice. will be back here for sure ! Professional staff and quick registration. It was the best of all my experiences in Baku city !
This hotel is inside old city area. It is very close to all sightseeing places of Baku. The room was with balcony, very neat and clean. Breakfast is OK. They serve Continental breakfast. I was expecting more traditional breakfast. Staff was friendly. Most importantly they serve free water bottles as much as you need.
Best staff of a a hotel in baku.. i compared with another 5 star international hotel, and they were the best in arion hotel.. i had a free upgrade from a room to a family sweet, highly recommended hotel 👍🏽 appreciated staff on the reception .. you really feel your self like a VIP
A small beautiful hotel in Baku, Staff are super friendly Rooms are super clean daily cleaning service is provided. It is a bit far from Nizami Street and old city But it is easy to go to it through the Bolt application, at a symbolic price of approximately 3 manats.
The staff were very helpful. Our first night we were tired so the receptionist ordered food in for us. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety. If looking for a budget hotel with no frills, where distance from city centre is not an issue this hotel is perfect.
As far as hotels go in Baku this is one of the best we experienced.
Would I class it as 5 star? Probably not.
However, it is in a very good location, the staff were excellent and it has a very nice roof terrace with a restaurant and bar.
Beautiful boutique hotel located right in the Ichi sheher (old city). So close to main tourist attractions like Palace of Shirvanshah, Maiden tower, Nizami street, Baku Boulevard.
Neat and clean room and bathroom! Very good interior work!
The location is awesome, Super markets nearby, very close to the city centre. The staff is awesome, specially Wasif turned every stone to make our stay comfortable. I will surely be coming back to this property whenever I visit Baku again
The location was the main reason for staying in this hotel, it's right in the old city of Baku and the moment you step out of the door your in the very heart of it.
The property is centrally-located in the Old City which is close to most of the main sights in Baku. The hotel is excellent value for money, but very basic.
Best is the location of the hotel which is convenient for all the tourist attractions like Deniz mall, Baku eye, carpet museum, mini Venice, fanicular etc.
